OUR BELIEFS

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe The Bible to be the inspired Word of God and accept by faith its verbal plenary inspiration. The Bible reveals one God (Deut. 6:4-5). The unity of the Godhead reveals three eternal and co-equal persons being the same of substance but distinct in subsistence, further revealed as he Holy Trinity. God is therefore: God the Father (Matt.11:25), God the Son (Heb.1:8), and God the Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:13-17). Among His many divine attributes, God is Holy (Isa. 6:1-5), Immutable (Heb. 1:10-12, 13:8, James 1:17), and Sovereign (Isa. 46:9-14, Ps. 65:4, Eph. 2:8-10). God is approachable only through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is made real only by the illumination of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 16:13:18).

God is the progenitor of all things including mankind, who was created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26), but by the temptation of Satan and through the act of their own free will, rebelled against God seeking autonomy, and through disobedience fell into sin (Gen 3:1-7). Subsequently, all of Adam’s descendants inherit total depravity from the womb thus being completely enslaved to sin and its consequences. (Gen. 3:3, 5:3, Ps. 14:2-3, 51:5, 58:3, Jn. 3:18-19, Rom. 3:10-18, Rom. 5:12, 5:18, Eph. 2:2-3).

The Bible also reveals an eternity past where a covenant within the Holy Trinity was established (John 17, 2 Tim 1:9, Titus 1:2). The Father decreed to give to the Son a redeemed humanity from the fall (John 17), of whom are being effectually called by the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:9-11, Eph. 2:1-10, Eph 3: 1-7). Because God loves mankind through this covenant, Christ came into the world out of eternity, and by His sinless life fulfilled the Law of God thereby becoming our propitiation (Heb 2, 1 John 2:2), and through His sacrificial death paid the penalty of death for the sins of all who will believe (John 3:16, John 6:37-40, John 10:27-30, Rom. 1:16-17, Rom. 3:21-26, Rom. 5:19, Rom. 8:32, Eph. 5:22-27).

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ (Matt. 1:18-25), his absolute and undeniable deity, being God manifest in the flesh (Heb. 1:1-9), His sinless life (Heb. 9:14), His death on the cross, (Lk. 23:33-46), His “bodily” resurrection from the grave (Lk. 24:1-6), and His ascension to the right hand of God (Luke 24:49-53, Acts 1:8-9).

Salvation is a gift of God whereby through an immediate miracle of the regeneration of life, God grants faith and repentance to one, thus enabling him to believe (Acts 11:17-18, Eph. 2:1-5, 8, 9, 2 Tim 2:24-26) Those who remain in sin, rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, will spend all eternity separated from God in Hell with Satan and his angels (Matt. 25:41, Rev. 20:11-15). Justification from sin is explicitly and implicitly by faith alone (Rom. 1:16-17, Rom. 3:21-31). God effectually works in all believers to their sanctification and eventual glorification (Phil. 1:6, Phil. 2:13, 1 Thess. 5:23-24, Jude 1:24).

We believe in the rapture of the church before the Tribulation (1 Cor. 15:51-52, 1 Thess. 1:10, 1 Thess. 4:12-18, Rev. 3:7-10), and the second advent of Christ as He will establish His throne in Jerusalem and restore His covenant people, Israel, (Deut. 7:6, Jer. 31: 35-37, Zech. 12:10, Rom. 11: 23-24, 25-27). Christ himself, upon His glorious return, will rule the earth for one thousand years, a time when the wolf will lie down with the lamb (Isa. 11:1-8, Dan. 2:31-44, Dan. 7:9-14, Rev. 20:1-6). At the conclusion of Christ’s millennial reign, the Great White Throne judgement will transpire for the lost of all ages (Rev. 20:7-15). This event will be followed by a new heaven and a new earth (2 Pet. 3:4-13, Rev. 21:1-2), the dwelling of all the saints, and it will be permeated by the glory of God from the throne of God and The Lamb in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21 and 22).
